This is for an experienced or retired cook to work part time on a 4 day on 8 day off rolling shift pattern and to cover holidays of the other cooks and vice versa.Cook who is in training or at college would be considered
Work time is 8am to 1pm
Below is what is required
Prepare daily meals in accordance with the care homes menu and dietary guidelines.
Cook meals that are tailored to individual needs, including special dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, soft diets, diabetic etc).
Ensure food is presented in an appetizing and nutritious manner.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
Follow health and safety regulations in food handling, storage, and preparation.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned.
Menu Planning:
Work with the kitchen team and management to plan a varied, nutritious, and seasonal menu.
Be mindful of resident preferences and any dietary restrictions when designing meal plans.
