Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry located in Great Britain. This pivotal role will contribute to our mission by overseeing HR functions that support our workforce and enhance our company culture.
Key Responsibilities
HR Management
* Provide end-to-end support to the HR Director
* Maintain employee records and documentation including:
* Manage new starter processes: offer letters, starter packs, reference and DBS checks, uniform distribution, and system onboarding
* Handle leaver processes: full offboarding, annual leave calculations, expense checks, and system termination
* Support recruitment activities
Employee Relations
* Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances
* Foster a positive workplace culture
* Mediate conflicts and ensure fair treatment
HR Policy & Compliance
* Enforce and update HR policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
Performance Management
* Manage performance appraisal systems
* Support managers in setting goals and conducting evaluations
* Identify training and development needs
* Support career progression planning
Benefits & Wellbeing
* Oversee benefits administration
* Handle employee benefits programs
* Promote employee wellbeing and mental health initiatives
* Respond to ad hoc HR system queries (e.g. leave balances, email updates)
Candidate Profile
Essential Attributes:
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills
* Reliability and enthusiasm
* Team-oriented mindset
Experience:
* Ideally minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in HR roles
* Proven track record in HR
Qualifications:
* Ideal but not essential; CIPD Level 3 and/or 5
