Job Title: Commercial Facilities Maintenance Assistant
Location: Based in Derby, covering commercial contracts in East Mids up to Manchester (van provided)
Salary: £14 per hour
Working Hours: Typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, minimum 40 hours per week (flexibility required)
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
About the Role:
Our client, a growing company in the facilities maintenance sector, is looking for a skilled and versatile Commercial Facilities Maintenance Assistant. This position is based in Derby and involves covering various facilities contracts throughout the East and West Midlands. You will be responsible for a wide range of general maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrics (basic electrical experience required, replacing of switches, sockets etc)
2. Plumbing (wet plumb repairs and replacements)
3. Perform minor plastering, decorating, and flooring repairs.
4. Replace door handles, hang pictures and mirrors.
5. Conduct minor works such as mounting skirting boards and doors.
6. Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Previous experience in general maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
2. Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
3. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. UK licence with less than 4 minor points (due to insurance restrictions)
6. Flexibility to travel across the East and West Midlands as required.
