Site Manager - Water Infrastructure (Contract, Outside IR35)
North West England (Cheshire to Carlisle)

A leading delivery partner on the United Utilities Capital Delivery Framework is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of water infrastructure projects across the North West.
This is a contract opportunity, offered outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day site activities on water infrastructure projects
2. Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
3. Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
4. Enforce compliance with health & safety regulations and environmental standards
5. Monitor progress against programme and report site updates to the Project Manager
6. Identify and address issues on site promptly to minimise risk or delay
7. Maintain site documentation and ensure accurate reporting
8. Foster a collaborative and productive site environment
Requirements:
9. Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering or water projects
10. Strong understanding of the Capital Delivery Framework (advantageous)
11. Excellent knowledge of construction methods, site health & safety, and regulatory compliance
12. Skilled in managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams
13. Strong communication and organisational skills
14. Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)
15. Full flexibility to work on-site across locations from Cheshire to Carlisle
