We are recruiting for a Cook to join our client’s team in Dundonald
1. Temporary ongoing position
2. Full time hours, based on a rota between Monday – Sunday
3. £12.31 – £20.80 per hour depending on the shift worked
Main Duties
4. Responsible for the preparation, cooking, dispatch and serving of all meals, snacks and beverages in all associated areas to the agreed menus and standards
5. Cater for any dietary requirements and special functions as they may arise
6. Utilise staff, materials and equipment in an efficient and effective manner to minimise wastage
7. Report defects in equipment, linen and food commodities and ensure that these are rectified
8. Be aware and observe Health and Safety regulations and all other appropriate legislation
9. Ensure the proper use and handling of the equipment
10. Ensure the correct cleaning, washing up and storage of crockery, equipment and other associated utensils within the department
11. Maintain records
12. Ensure the food is cooked and stored in hygienic practices
13. Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times
Qualifications Required
14. level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or have at least two years relevant experience
15. Level 2 Food Safety qualification
