We are currently recruiting for a Cook based in Bangor. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI clearance have been completed.
Rate of pay: £12.97
Hours of work: 9:00-17:00, shift rota; to work 2 weekends per month.
Responsibilities include:
1. Preparation and service of food and beverages according to the requirements for young people in custody and staff providing care.
2. Handling special dietary needs by following instructions from the catering manager and liaising with the team leader or medical officer when necessary.
3. Assisting with menu compilation, distribution, and collation to meet nutritional needs.
4. Maintaining a professional, clean, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations and COSHH.
5. Carrying out cleaning duties as per the Safe Food Policy to maintain standards and prepare cleaning schedules.
Qualifications and experience:
* Up-to-date Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations as per environmental guidelines.
* At least two years of experience in a similar role.
* NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 705 or 706 qualification.
Skills:
* Ability to manage and motivate staff.
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills.
