We are currently working on a fantastic opportunity with a leading UK media owner in the news and broadcasting space. This is a new business role working within a team that manages and grows revenue amongst direct clients.
This is a junior sales role that would suit an entrepreneurial, proactive candidate with a can‑do attitude and a desire to succeed in a media organisation with excellent growth potential! We also welcome applicants from outside the media industry who excel in target‑driven, revenue generation roles.
The Role
The Sales Executive will work across the direct client market, selling advertising solutions across:
* Audio
* Video
* Sponsorship & promotions
This is a genuine new business role, with responsibility for bringing new brands on air while also managing and growing an existing client patch.
Day to Day You Will:
* Manage and grow a portfolio of direct clients, maximising revenue across your patch
* Generate new business from brands without agency representation
* Sell national broadcast brands across airtime, digital and sponsorship
* Build and execute effective sales strategies aligned to group targets
* Accurately forecast revenue and manage pipeline
* Proactively follow up every lead and uncover new opportunities
* Collaborate with Activation and Editorial teams to build compelling campaign solutions
What They’re Looking For
* Proven sales experience with clear evidence of new business revenue generation
* Digital sales experience is a plus
* A resilient, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
* Strong relationship‑building skills across a broad range of stakeholders
* Confidence using insight tools to uncover new revenue opportunities
