Main Purpose:
1. Business Development and Client Relationship Management
Management of customer / commercial relationships
Develop – Bring – Support new businesses
Price offers to customers, ensure competitive sourcing of sub-contracted activities
Market the company’s logistics services locally, and promote other global locations
Prepare business presentations, quotations, service agreements, client/segment P&L analysis
2.Business Analysis and Reporting
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, monthly management business review and other presentations
Track and report container freight volumes as well as profitability
Analyse client / business-segment performance periodically, enabling strategic decision-making
Assist the General Manager on various commercial, corporate secretarial matters and management reports
3.Contract Administration and Operations Planning
Communicate client requirements to customer-services and operations teams
Plan operations in conjunction with the teams for new contracts / orders with special requirements
Address customer complaints and assist in claims management
Develop and manage key vendor relationships for shipping, trucking, equipment and other services
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Bachelor degree (field of study: Business Management, Logistics or equivalent preferred)
3-5 years’ experience with logistics of commodities
Business development, Container import/export/cross-trade shipments, in-depth understanding of international trade terms, knowledge of customs clearance formalities
Good knowledge of international trade and warehousing-terminal activities.
Punctual, team player, process oriented, organized and methodical with work.
Eager to learn
Able to work with MS Office 2010, and ability to operate our in-house software system after training
