Site Managers – Net Zero Carbon Capture Project
Permanent Positions | Teesside | Multi-Billion Pound Scheme
Edge Contracting are currently recruiting for 2 x Site Managers on a permanent basis to work on a major Net Zero Carbon Capture Plant based in Teesside.
This is a flagship multi-billion-pound infrastructure project forming part of the UK's decarbonisation strategy. The scheme operates within an extremely high-level health, safety and compliance environment, and we are seeking experienced Site Managers who are accustomed to working on safety-critical sites.

About the Role
This is a heavily compliance and paperwork-focused role within a highly regulated environment where health and safety standards are paramount.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day site operations with a strong emphasis on health, safety and environmental compliance
Writing, reviewing and implementing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
Ensuring all works are carried out in line with strict HSE legislation and site-specific procedures
Attending and contributing to progress meetings with the main contractor
Managing permit-to-work systems and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date
Coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades within controlled work zones
Conducting toolbox talks, safety briefings and site inductions
Monitoring quality assurance and ensuring works meet specification
Maintaining detailed site records, audits and compliance documentation
Proactively promoting a strong safety-first culture across site
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
Background in petrochemical, nuclear, power generation, or other high-risk environments
Strong understanding of CDM regulations and HSE compliance
Experience working under strict permit-to-work systems
Demonstrable experience producing and managing RAMS
SMSTS (essential)
CSCS (Black or Gold preferred)
