Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
* Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as required.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure adequate supplies are available for meal preparation.
* Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment operation is advantageous.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
