What you’ll be doing in the Construction environment includes buying materials, managing big projects, ensuring health and safety, and delivering customer service. Barratt Redrow works on circa 400 developments across the UK, in towns and rural areas, with sites ranging from new builds to adaptations of existing structures.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll help ensure labouring tasks are completed to the highest standard and within required timescales.
Responsibilities
* Carry out all works on site as instructed by the Site Manager and in line with BDW Standards and procedures
* Inspect all on-site signage (large sale signs, plot signs, safety signs, etc.) and ensure signs are clean and in good repair
* Take personal responsibility for health and safety on site and report any breaches to the Site Manager
* Ensure protection of fixed materials is carried out by the Sub-contractor who fits it, in line with BDW procedures
* Ensure protection of fixed materials is maintained to the last moment and notify the Site Manager of removal or abuse
* Maintain compound and welfare facilities
* Keep plots under construction tidy by all trades
* Walk round all plots daily to ensure no surplus materials are lying about
* Ensure waste on site is segregated and recycled following BDW group guidelines
* Check show home gardens and public open spaces weekly and remove any rubbish
What You’ll Need
* Enthusiastic self-starter able to use initiative whilst working unsupervised
* Experience of working on large-volume domestic house-building sites
* Health and Safety Awareness
* Current appropriate CSCS or partner scheme card
