Hours of Work:
6. 37 Hours per week
7. Monday to Friday
Job Duties:
Lecturing and assessing students/trainees/lifelong learning programme participants in the selected subject(s) in accordance with the standards of the course validating body/College requirements through:
8. Planning, organising and delivering learning sessions in line with required standards;
9. Preparing information handouts/teaching materials required to develop learners in the skills and knowledge relating to the subject area;
10. Planning, marking and recording assessments within agreed deadlines;
11. Assessing the ability of the learners
12. Evaluating assessment results and providing feedback to learners;
13. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Codes of Practice and other College protocols at all times; and
14. Attending all meetings as required associated with the management of the course and provide feedback to programme managers as appropriate.
Essential Experience & Qualifications required:
15. The applicant must possess an Honour’s degree qualification in a food or related discipline.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
16. Previous experience of delivering education courses and assessing student learning would be beneficial.
An Access NI will be required for this role:
17. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
