Job Title: Quality Manager
Our client is a well-established industrial manufacturing company based in Denbighshire.
Job Description
1. Working closely with all other business functions, you will be responsible for leading the transformation in our quality systems and championing quality within our business.
2. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the group quality management system.
3. Plan and ensure the execution of all preventative quality measures.
4. Plan and deliver quality training throughout the group.
5. Ensure all quality tools are fit for purpose, robust, and efficient.
6. Lead the recruitment and development of the Quality team.
7. Ensure the group complies with all necessary quality standards.
8. Support the resolution of reactive quality issues.
9. Monitor and optimize the cost of quality and the cost of poor quality.
10. Implement effective KPIs across the business to measure quality performance.
11. Support new development projects to meet quality targets.
12. Collaborate with all functions to identify and address quality risks and ensure corrective actions are taken.
The Successful Applicant
1. Significant experience in quality management within the manufacturing sector.
2. Background in industrial engineering or manufacturing preferred, including metal assembly, welding, fabrication, machining, or precision-engineered components.
3. Ability to motivate others about the importance and benefits of quality.
4. Proven track record of implementing improvements to systems and processes.
5. Strong influencing and collaboration skills.
6. Experience in developing people within and outside the quality team.
7. Excellent planning and prioritization skills.
8. Strong analytical skills and data utilization.
9. Deep understanding of quality management tools and processes.
10. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
