An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Data Engineer, to join a high-performing team delivering cutting-edge data solutions to front office and technology stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with data, eager to take ownership of technical projects, and looking to solve real-world challenges in a dynamic environment.
Role
Build, maintain, and enhance a robust data platform using in-house and third-party tools
Develop and optimise data pipelines integrating multiple data sources
Collaborate directly with front office teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
Curate and manage both external and internal datasets to meet analytical needs
Implement automation processes, data standards, and quality frameworks
Design pragmatic data models and workflows to ensure reliability and integrity
Key Skills
Proven experience in a Data Engineer or Data Analyst role with a focus on technical delivery
Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and Apache Spark in a production environment
Experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure is highly advantageous
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
A 2:1 degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, preferably from a Russell Group university
