Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
* Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients
* Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff
* Help with meal assembly and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety regulations
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly, reporting any issues promptly
* Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to uphold hygiene standards
* Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing assigned tasks
Requirements
* Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
* Previous experience or familiarity with kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
* Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards
* Enthusiasm for learning new culinary skills and developing a career in hospitality or catering
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
