Location: Claremont Ingredients Limited at Aspect Court, Silverdale Enterprise Park, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 6SS
Gross Salary: Competitive salary available on application
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
Flexibility across core hours of 08:30-16:30
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays (pro‑rata in first year of service)
3 days entitlement must be taken for Christmas shutdown
Probationary Period: 6 months
Notice: One Month
Scope of the Role
We are seeking a Sales Executive to join our Commercial team, reporting to the Commercial Director. In this position you would be expected to drive the sales growth agenda within the current customer base as well as win new customers. It is an office‑based position, working with an experienced team who will give this role the support it needs to be successful.
The Role
* Take responsibility for an individual portfolio of customers – ensuring that company profitability, customer requirements and individual growth targets are met.
* Establish and proactively manage customer relationships to gain a strong level understanding of their business to influence order levels.
* Canvas lapsed and potential new customers to win new sales.
* Continual evaluation of customer order levels and product mix to ensure budgets are achieved/exceeded each month.
* Provide the business with accurate rolling weekly sales outlook and proactive plans to gap‑fill as part of the weekly KPI review meeting.
* Be the first point of contact for all new business enquiries and initial follow‑up directly with the customer.
* Provide sales support for the existing sales managers and the Head of Sales.
* Provide cover for customer service for order input and manage customer queries.
Requirements
* FMCG food & drink experience is a strong advantage.
* Microsoft Office programme use experience.
* Proven ability to multi‑task and deliver results in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
* Telesales, sales and previous experience in an administrative role is preferable.
* Evidence of previous effective team working is required.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and creative.
* Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Enthusiastic positive attitude.
* Excellent time‑management skills with a flexible approach to work.
* Full right to work in the UK.
* Full clean driving licence.
