Brook Street is currently working on behalf of a well-established client in Belfast to recruit an experienced Imports Operations / Freight Coordinator to join an established team

Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate FCL import and export shipments with a range of global carriers
* Arrange collections with transport providers and liner shipping companies
* Manage shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading, invoices, and pre-alerts to overseas offices
* Track and trace shipments, ensuring timely updates to clients and partners
* Support customs processes, including completion of import/export entries
* Maintain compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
* Assist with general operational duties as required by the supervisor
Essential Criteria
* Previous experience in freight forwarding, particularly ocean imports is require
* Strong understanding of import/export processes and customs procedure
* Experience liaising with shipping lines, co-loaders, and transport providers (including online booking systems)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verba
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of container loading processes
* Experience using CNS or similar freight operating systems
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to work occasional overtime if require
* Professional telephone manner and customer-focused approach
