HR Administrator

The HR Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the HR function and our people as we scale. Reporting to the Head of People, you'll be the first point of contact for employee queries, ensuring that every interaction is handled with care, accuracy, and a deep understanding of relevant UK employment law. You'll combine administrative precision with a people-first approach, helping to create a positive and compliant employee experience. We are also hoping you want to grow into an HR Generalist or Business Partner, so you can be developing in your role as well.

You must be authorised to work and live in the United Kingdom, as we are unable to sponsor visa for this role.

This is a permanent, hybrid role, full time, or part time 4 days per week with targeted base salary of £30,000-£35,000 for full time, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing timely, accurate, and thoughtful responses. This includes in person at the office, as well as online.
* Ensure all employee records are accurate, compliant, and kept up to date, including data such as training records.
* Manage HR documentation, including contracts, onboarding checklists, and HRIS data such as leaves.
* Support the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all employees.
* Maintain compliance with UK employment law and company policies, flagging any risks or necessary updates.
* Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate employee data.
* Generate and manage HR reports, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times.
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.
* Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement, wellbeing, and policy development.

About You

* HR experience working in the UK.
* Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Experience working in an HRIS and other people-related organisational systems.
* Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to provide top-tier support to employees.
* Discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing company environment.

* Professional HR qualifications and academic experience.

Hiring process.

First, we will schedule a short video call or in-person meet and greet with the Head of People to discuss your experience in more detail and hear about what you are seeking. The second round will be a short (less than 30 minutes) skills assessment focused on attention to detail and writing. The third round will invite candidates to meet one of our Founders and Chief Financial Officer to gain a strategic view of the company and its future, and how the HR Administrator contributes to the business goals.
