Overview
Purpose of the role: To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
* Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
* Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
* Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
* Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Programme Details
We offer the Explorer Programme: a 2-year programme designed to provide depth and breadth of experience. You will participate in job-based bespoke training from the start, enabling you to go fully-equipped into your role as you embark on the first of three eight-month long rotations.

Eligibility
To be considered for this opportunity, you\'ll be motivated with a strong degree or expected degree in any area. You\'ll also have the ability to code in at least one language. Ideally, you have a genuine interest in technology and the ability to connect business needs with technical solutions. You are curious, creative, and ambitious, with a drive to shape how technology transforms the way we work.
Please note: For the graduate programme, the 2026 Technology Developer Graduate Programme does not offer sponsorship at this time. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK on a full-time basis from August 2026 to August 2028. Following the programme, the Technology Developer business area is currently out of scope for sponsorship. This means eligibility for a Skilled Worker Visa at the end of the programme cannot be guaranteed.
