A fantastic opportunity to join a well established and ambitious Lloyd's broker in the City.
Ideally you will be CIPD level 7 or equivalent with a solid understanding of employment law and experience of working in the insurance industry, preferably the Lloyd's/London market.
Key responsibilities:
* Accountable to the Senior Management Team for all HR matters for a headcount of 70
* Line Manager to a (new) HR Assistant, who deals with general HR enquiries, recruitment, work experience placements, onboarding, training and HR administration
* Management of all employee relation matters including without prejudice conversations, settlement agreement negotiations, contractual changes, as well as capability and performance processes
* Policy development, implementation and review cycles
* Full review of current processes to ensure standardised approach e.g. recruitment, training and development, probationary and performance reviews
* Technical ability in developing HRIS workflows (the system in use is HiBob) to automate HR processes
* Highly skilled in reward/pay and benefits - salary reviews, bonus structures, LTIPs, company HR insurances (such as PMI, Income Protection etc) and flexible benefits
* Manage maternity, paternity and adoption pay and leave and other absences
* Market benchmarking such as Lloyd's Market Policies and Practices return, Culture Survey, Alan Jones HR Benchmarking Survey
* Set up and act as secretary of HR Committees such as Remuneration Committee, People & Culture Working Group, Charity Committee
* Support the compliance and risk functions in related areas to meet regulatory standards
* Introduce mentoring, executive coaching, employee resource groups and run pulse surveys to get staff feedback
* Develop valuable performance management practices such as individual development plans (IDPs) and link to succession planning
* Provide HR Board reports on a quarterly basis and to the Senior Management Team on request
