What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the driving force behind product quality and safety across the site, working closely with suppliers and leading a well equipped quality team.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and managing the quality team
*
Training staff on quality standards, processes, and product specifications
*
Implementing and monitoring quality control systems and procedures
*
Maintaining active grower communications—celebrating the good and addressing the challenges
*
Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness
*
Ensuring compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, BRC, customer protocols)
*
Supporting internal and external audits (BRC, retailer audits)
*
Ensuring all produce meets customer, retailer, and legislative specifications
*
Maintaining accurate inspection, rejection, and corrective action records
*
Collaborating with procurement, production, warehouse, commercial teams, and suppliers
*
Identifying and escalating quality issues, driving corrective actions
*
Providing regular quality performance reports and recommending improvements
*
Contributing to supplier performance reviews and product specification updates
Education & Experience
*
HACCP Level 3
*
Lead Auditor qualification (advantageous but not essential)
