Overview
HR Recruit are currently seeking an experienced HR Professional for our SME in the financial services sector. Our newly created role will report directly into the Finance Director and will support the company during an exciting phase of rapid growth. It’s an ideal position for someone eager to be part of the journey and grow alongside the business from the ground up.
Role: Human Resources Manager
Location: Guiseley, England, United Kingdom (travel to the office one day each month)
Employment type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Hybrid: Hybrid (2 days work from home)
Base pay
Salary range: £50,000–£55,000 per year. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Role Responsibilities
* Ensure full compliance with UK employment law and internal policies.
* Manage sensitive employee relations cases including grievances and disciplinary actions.
* Oversee monthly payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely payments (processing completed by finance).
* Manage pension schemes and liaise with providers to ensure compliance and employee understanding.
* Ensure all statutory reporting and documentation is completed accurately.
* Lead starter and leaver processes including onboarding, induction, exit interviews, and offboarding documentation.
* Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across all HR systems.
* Manage the SAGE HR portal, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
* Lead HR projects including policy development, training programmes, and change initiatives.
Person Specification
* Previous HR experience is essential.
* Proven experience in a senior HR role with strategic and operational responsibilities.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law, payroll, pensions, and HR systems.
* Experience managing SAGE HR or similar platforms.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Hands-on with a can-do attitude.
Organisation and travel
The client has a small office in London, so you will be required to travel to the office one day each month.
