Due to business growth,our client, an industry leadingManufacturing Engineering company based near Oldham are looking to recruit a Senior Quality Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to oversee the day to day running of the companys Quality systems and procedures through the use of audit, non-conformance reporting, feedback, corrective action and other formal management practices. You will also be required to manage a team of 5 staff with the department. Interested candidates will ideally be Degree qualified within an engineering discipline with working knowledge of ISO 9001. A demonstrable background within Quality Engineering with a broad understanding of manufacturing processes including Fabrication, Machining and Assembly is a must. This position is based on days and available for an immediate start. Hours - Mon - Fri 0830- 1630 Role Description Lead the Quality function and provide direct support and quality management subject matter expertise to the relevant personnel on site. Leading the development and implementation of the Quality Management System to simplify and improve the ways of working. Resolving or escalating any quality management concerns, issues, and risks and leading a culture of root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with your team giving clear guidance and instructions. Have regular updates with your team to ensure any issues are dealt with in a professional timely manner following procedures where necessary. Ensure that the companys qualityand welding accreditations are maintained. Ensure all Qualityperformance statistics and reportage and present to Senior Management and throughout the company. Including for company briefings, toolbox talks and other communication streams. Oversee the Internal Audit Schedule ensuring all Qualityaudits are completed within the scheduled timeframe. Conduct periodic Qualityreview meetings as required to maintain compliance. Deal with Customer Complaints including recording, root cause investigation, corrective actions and response. Use of appropriate Quality and Lean management techniques for investigation and required actions. Raise NCRs for internal and external issues. Use of appropriate Quality and Lean management techniques for investigation and required actions. Conduct and/or assist with external audits as appropriate. Including customers, suppliers and third-party inspectorates BSI, TWI, etc. Management of the Life Time Records production from creation through compilation to final delivery in compliance with customers delivery requirements. Ensure the companys calibration system is kept up to date. Skills & Attributes Ideally Degree qualified within an engineering discipline Demonstrable experience in a Quality Management role within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment. Excellent Knowledge of ISO 9001 - preferably gained by implementing ISO 9001 management systems. Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including Machining, Fabrication and Assembly 9001 Auditor qualifications are essential.
