Job Purpose:
Provides site management, reporting, resident liaison, client reporting, and liaison for energy efficiency improvement and retrofit projects across the UK. Manages all operatives on site, CDM and site setup, all sub-contractors, and specialist providers in occupied and void properties.
Duties
1. Manage work programs for retrofit social housing and energy efficiency projects with a whole house improvement approach.
2. Create and revise systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, implementing changes to workload and equipment delivery schedules to provide cost savings.
3. Report progress against the program, problem solve, schedule, and liaise with contracts managers and resident liaison to ensure a smooth customer experience.
4. Resolve technical problems by coordinating report preparations, communicating with staff, analysing data, identifying solutions, and costing variations.
5. Ensure quality of operational staff through regular on-site audits to verify competence and compliance of onsite engineers with company procedures.
6. Provide information by answering client questions and requests.
7. Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing, and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
8. Manage all site inductions, H&S practices, and assist with external audits and client H&S audits on site.
9. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and participating in societies.
10. Create and carry out take-offs and weekly applications/valuations to report to the contract manager.
11. Manage all staff in the department, including disciplinary procedures, toolbox talks, and review of departmental targets.
12. Monitor and ensure authorized design changes are implemented on-site.
13. Capture and manage variation works, report requirements, and seek authorization to proceed.
14. Liaise with scheduling teams regarding schedules and programming.
15. Complete QC checks, sign-off documentation, and certification for projects.
16. Conduct surveying and post-inspection of works.
17. Manage defects in line with KPIs, ensuring compliance with PAS2035:2023.
Skills/Qualifications
* SMSTS or SSSTS, working towards SMSTS
* Understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, or Fabric installations
Experience Required
* Experience working within the Social Housing sector on large-scale installation and maintenance contracts, customer service, site CDM, and H&S regulations and reporting.
* Technical auditing experience.
