We are seeking an experienced Principal Contractor Site Manager to lead the civil engineering package on a challenging National Grid substation build in Bristol. This is a high-profile infrastructure project requiring a proven leader with deep expertise in National Grid standards and procedures.
?? Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all site activities related to the civil engineering scope of the substation build.
* Ensure full compliance with National Grid safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Maintain site records, manage risk assessments, and lead daily briefings and toolbox talks.
* Act as the main point of contact for all site-related matters.
? Essential Requirements:
* Extensive experience managing civil engineering works on National Grid substation projects.
* Full National Grid PSCM SR163 authorisation, including:
o NSI6 & NSI8 Competent Person
o National Grid Person
o National Grid HSG47
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* First Aid at Work
* Environmental Awareness
* CCNSG Safety Passport
