ABC Teachers are seeking a skilled HR Officer to work within an SEN school in Birmingham.
About the role
* Support the administration of admissions, attendance monitoring, and pupil welfare processes.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil and staff records in compliance with data protection regulations.
* Manage daily office operations including reception duties, telephone and email communications.
* Coordinate appointments, meetings, and events, supporting school leadership and staff.
* Assist with the preparation of reports, correspondence, and documentation as required.
About the school
* Full-time Key Stage 4 teaching centre for up to 106 pupils in Years 10–11 who have struggled to access mainstream school due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Therapeutic and personalised learning, with smaller classes and bespoke learning pathways to meet individual needs and interests.
* Broad curriculum including core GCSE subjects, alongside BTECs, Functional Skills and enrichment options.
* Focus on well-being and resilience, including a dedicated “Wellbeing Wednesday” programme and mentoring support.
* Aims to support pupils to catch up academically and transition into appropriate post-16 education or further training.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of HR Officer you will:
* Relevant administrative or secretarial qualifications or experience.
* Proven experience in office administration and customer service.
* Awareness of data protection, safeguarding, and confidentiality requirements.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
* Already hold or are able to obtain a DBS on the update service.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* Experience in administrative roles.
