Overview

Business Development Manager – Logistics & Courier Sector

Location: Field-based along the M4 corridor (Reading to Bristol) + some travel to Dartford HQ

Base Salary: £30,000-£35,000 (OTE £55,000 in year 1) + £5,000 car allowance + fuel card + commission scheme

Founded in 2020 with just four drivers, this business has scaled rapidly to a network of over 300 experienced couriers delivering for clients across the UK. With a clear vision, strong leadership, and a culture that rewards initiative, they’re now preparing for the next phase of growth.

Backed by a Sales Director with deep industry experience and a proven track record, the company is looking for a driven, commercially-minded sales professional, ideally someone who’s gained some industry experience and is now ready to step up and make a real impact. This is a unique opportunity for someone early in their career who’s not afraid to take a risk, wants to grow alongside a business, and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You’ll be given the autonomy to make things happen, the support to sharpen your skills, and the platform to genuinely influence the future of the company.


Key Responsibilities

* Cover a field-based patch along the M4 corridor, from Reading to Bristol, with some visits to Dartford HQ.
* Proactively identify and target businesses that need high-quality, reliable logistics solutions.
* Using a blend of traditional and innovative sales practise, win new business with clients who need a variety of logistics services.
* Convert prospects into trading accounts, with a strong focus on speed to revenue.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
* Maximise incoming and self-generated leads, keeping the CRM/database accurate and up to date.
* Spot opportunities for growth within new and existing accounts.
* Work closely with the wider team, sharing wins, ideas, and energy. Collaboration is key here.
