Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a passionate and skilled Site Manager to join our dynamic Scottish Construction business in beautiful Dalkeith.
Position Details
* Location: Dalkeith
* Hours: 42.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday
* Note: We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role.
Your Responsibilities
As a Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering a £50M+ new build education facility. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Managing and directing subcontractor partners to deliver work packages, including groundworks, drainage, structural frame erection, roofing, cladding, and interior fit-out.
* Ensuring all work adheres to safety and quality standards.
* Checking subcontractor work to assess alignment with the programme, design drawings, and quality standards.
* Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure safe working methods.
* Conducting toolbox talks and site inductions to ensure compliance with Kier standards.
* Coordinating site logistics and the movement of plant and labor while maintaining safety.
* Reporting any issues or programme slippages to the Senior Site/Project Manager.
* Liaising with the project design manager to provide necessary information.
* Creating, logging, and filing site reports and paperwork accurately and promptly.
* Collaborating with the wider project team to find solutions to technical or logistical challenges.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* A relevant Construction Qualification (HND/Degree) in construction management or a similar field, or a technical trade backed by appropriate accreditation (SVQ or equivalent).
* SMSTS 5 Day Certificate, CSCS Card, and First Aid Certificate.
* A valid Driving License.
* Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
