About us
The Raise Academy is a new school which opened in September 2024, supporting children aged 11-16.
The pupils are engaged in a wide range of vocational and practical subjects, providing new opportunities for personal, social, and academic progress. The curriculum is underpinned by high-quality teaching in Maths, English, and Science, with lessons in small classes of up to 8 pupils, supported by teachers, learning mentors, and pastoral/teaching assistants.

Responsibilities
* Support the vision and strategic direction of the Academy
* Provide an engaging specialist curriculum
* Deliver effective teaching and learning throughout the school
* Manage resources efficiently to meet objectives
* Ensure effective pastoral care and behaviour support
Teaching and Learning
As a specialist Learning Instructor, you will help secure effective teaching and learning, monitor progress, and evaluate achievement using benchmarks. Your duties include:
* Deliver high-quality teaching in your specialist area and other subjects as needed
* Maintain an environment that promotes good behaviour and high standards
* Organize and evaluate the curriculum and assessments
* Ensure curriculum compliance with National Curriculum standards
* Prioritize literacy and numeracy improvements
* Support students with mental health needs, including outreach support
* Deliver and support PSHRE programmes
Partnership Working
* Invite and involve parents and carers to enrich student experience
* Collaborate with staff to promote British values and student well-being
Health, Safety, and Child Protection
* Ensure health and safety standards are met and monitored
* Comply with child protection and safeguarding procedures
* Promote safety and well-being of students and staff
* Maintain good order and discipline
* Engage in CPD to improve role effectiveness
