IT ServiceNow Junior Developer - Part Time (2 days a week) 3 Month Contract

We are looking for a Part‑time ServiceNow Developer to contribute to the ongoing development, configuration, and maintenance of our enterprise ServiceNow platform. If you have 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing within the platform and are seeking a flexible, part‑time role, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills across various modules and complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Write, test, and deploy client‑side scripts (Client Scripts, UI Policies) and server‑side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions) using JavaScript/Glide.
* Build and maintain Service Catalog items, including complex variable configurations and advanced workflows.
* Utilise low‑code tools like Flow Designer to automate and streamline business processes.
* Design and enhance user interfaces, including developing custom widgets for the Service Portal.
* Manage Update Sets for migrating configurations and code between development, test, and production environments.
* Participate in testing activities, including developing and executing test plans for new features and platform upgrades.
* Perform routine platform administration tasks, including user management, data imports, and security rule (ACL) configuration.
* Work closely with the ServiceNow Product Owner and Engineering lead to refine requirements and propose technical solutions that align with best practices.
* Take part in regular Agile/Scrum meetings (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand‑ups) to report progress and estimate work effort.
Requirements
* 3+ years of hands‑on experience in ServiceNow development.
* Experience working on a complex, enterprise‑level ServiceNow instance with worldwide deployment.
* Experience developing within an Agile framework.
* Experience working in an ITIL environment.
* Proven ability to configure and customize ServiceNow using out‑of‑the‑box functionality and platform scripting.
* Solid foundational knowledge of JavaScript/Glide scripting.
* Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is highly preferred.
* Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and ITIL concepts.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills essential for working effectively in a part‑time capacity.
