In this role of Teacher of Food Technology, you will: Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons across KS3–KS5 in Food Technology and Nutrition. Teach safe food handling, preparation, hygiene practices, and healthy eating principles. Support students in creating well-presented dishes while developing confidence in the kitchen. Encourage creativity, independence, and problem-solving through practical cooking tasks. Assess and track pupils’ progress, providing feedback to support continued development. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and organisation within the classroom and food preparation areas. What You’ll Bring as a Teacher of Food Technology: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology, Nutrition, and practical culinary skills. Previous experience teaching Food Technology within a school setting. A creative and engaging approach to planning lessons that inspire students. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
