Quality Manager
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Senior leader responsible for full compliance, product quality and audit of WG Brighton. Assure Wyman-Gordon's Quality systems and procedures satisfy government, certification and customer requirements, and assure compliance of product shipped to contractual requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Main point of contact with customers, regulatory, and government agencies on all quality related issues, and audits
* Maintain and update the Quality Manual
* Control and approve internal procedures
* Auditing of Wyman-Gordon for compliance
* Responsible for the audit and approval of subcontractors
* Manage personnel responsible for quality planning, release of product and raw material, and the final certification of product.
* Function as the Management Representative as required by ISO-9001, AS9100
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with NADCAP, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
* Manage personnel performing source inspection, audit, and release of product from subcontract suppliers
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS minimum, MS or 5-10 years of experience in quality related functions preferred
* Training as ISO9001/AS9100 Lead Auditor
* Proven experience in statistical analysis
* Manufacturing and/or aerospace experience highly preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Knowledge of Quality based computer systems
* Good PC skills with Microsoft Office applications
* Strong familiarity with compliance (AS9100, NADCAP)
