2. Location: Woodley House (Aylesbury) or Eyre Court (Lincoln) – hybrid working
3. Hours: 37.5 per week, hybrid working
4. Salary: £46, to £51, per annum
We are looking for aCatering Managerto lead our operational delivery and continuous improvement of catering and hospitality services across all homes within The Orders of St John Care Trust.
This high-impact role will ensure the consistent delivery of high quality, safe, nutritious catering services that align with the Trust’s values, professional standards, regulatory requirements and budgetary frameworks.
What You will Do:
5. Ensure high standards of quality, governance and compliance are met across all aspects of catering, meeting and exceeding organisational and statutory best practice standards
6. Drive continuous improvement by overseeing performance management, coaching and ongoing support of senior catering and hospitality colleagues
7. Create, develop, lead and execute the Group’s catering and hospitality strategy ensuring the Trust remains aligned with best practice and innovation in the care sector
8. Support the design, development and implementation of menus ensuring these are compliant with Trust and statutory expectations and meet individual resident’s needs.
9. Ensure catering services deliver value for money in line with agreed budgets without compromising quality and resident experience.
10. Undertake annual and ad hoc catering audits across the Trust ensuring compliance with current legislation and Trust policy and procedures.
What Are We Looking For?
11. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Nutrition and Level 4 in Food Safety
12. Significant management experience within a catering and hospitality setting
13. Proven experience working within health and social care environments
14. In depth knowledge of food hygiene legislation and responsibilities under The Health & Safety at Work Act
15. Previous experience of menu planning and management of catering budgets
16. A credible communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
17. A confident people leader with experience of coaching and mentoring catering and hospitality teams.
18. Strong experience in driving improvements within a catering team including undertaking audits and developing action plans.
19. Highly organised, action-orientated, adaptable and comfortable delivering at pace.
20. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Trust.
