Data Architect – Microsoft Purview (Contract)
Short Term/Part Time Position - Inside IR35
Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Data Architect with strong Microsoft Purview expertise to support a client in onboarding and embedding Purview into their data environment ahead of a Microsoft Fabric go-live.
Purview was deployed previously but is not currently in use, so this role will focus on activation, governance setup, and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the onboarding and implementation of Microsoft Purview
* Establish data governance frameworks and best practices
* Configure data cataloguing, classification, and lineage
* Work closely with the client’s Data SME/Analyst to enable adoption
* Provide hands-on guidance and ensure long-term usability
Required Experience
* Proven experience as a Data Architect
* Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview
* Experience implementing data governance frameworks
* Solid understanding of data cataloguing, lineage, and classification
* Ability to work in a consultative, stakeholder-facing role
Contract Details
* Duration: ~7–8 weeks
* Engagement Options:1 day per week
* OR 2 days per week (preferred for faster delivery)
* Start Date: Early February 2026
