Azure Data Architect Location: Northern Ireland (Hybrid) OCHO - Building Teams We're working with a fast growing SaaS company scaling out its data capabilities. They're solving real world operational challenges for global customers with smart, cloud first software, and they need an Azure Data Architect to help shape the next phase of their data infrastructure. This is a hybrid role based in Northern Ireland, suited to someone who enjoys working across integration design, cloud data architecture, and stakeholder collaboration. The Role As Azure Data Architect, you'll be the bridge between technical architecture and business needs designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions using Microsoft Azure. You'll work closely with cross functional teams (Product, Implementation, Innovation) and customers to ensure seamless data integration's and robust infrastructure design. You'll also take ownership of data frameworks that power realtime insights and strategic decision making. What You'll Be Doing Data Architecture: Design and implement data solutions using Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, and Data Factory (ADFv2). System Integration: Lead the migration and development of scalable integration frameworks; build robust ETL/ELT pipelines. Infrastructure: Ensure data infrastructure is high performing, secure, and future proof using native Azure services. API Development: Develop APIs and web services (.NET/C) to support secure data exchange and third party connectivity. Customer-Facing Collaboration: Engage directly with customers to scope, define, and deliver integration solutions. Performance & Optimisation: Continuously improve reliability, speed, and observability of existing data pipelines. Documentation: Maintain detailed technical specs and integration manuals. What My Client is Looking For Essentials: 4+ years of experience in software engineering or data architecture roles, ideally within SaaS or cloud native environments. Strong Azure background: Data Factory, Synapse, SQL, Data Lake, Event Grid, etc. Hands on with modern API development (REST, SOAP) and data formats (JSON, XML). Experience building and scaling system integrations. Proficient in .NET/C (desirable). Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps practices. Desirables: Experience with Microsoft Fabric. Certifications such as AZ305, AZ104, AZ204, DP203, or DP300. Why Join ?
