Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler to join our team in Walsall. The successful candidate will operate telehandlers to facilitate the movement of materials across construction sites or industrial environments. Duties
Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to lift, move, and place materials at various heights and distances.
Conduct routine inspections of the equipment to ensure it is in proper working order, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries, containers, or storage areas.
Coordinate with site managers and other team members to plan material movements according to project schedules.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Support other machinery operations such as excavators when required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge as needed.
Follow all health and safety protocols to minimise risks on-site and promote a safe working environment.
Experience
Proven experience operating telehandlers in a commercial or industrial setting.
Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy machinery, including excavators.
Valid certification or licence for commercial driving is essential.
Prior experience with excavators is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
Familiarity with site safety procedures and risk assessments is preferred.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
