Elegantly evolving, resolutely natural, we’re a beautiful piece of English history that redefines the idea of a hotel. We are now looking for a Hotel Handyman to join our lovely Maintenance team. We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and proactive Maintenance Handyman with an eye for detail to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair duties to ensure the smooth operation, safety, and functionality of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas. A strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work both independently and with a team are essential. Responsibilities include: Conduct checks on guest rooms and facilities Perform maintenance and repairs including, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, paint touch up’s, lamp changing, grouting and siliconing as needed. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls. Maintain inventory of supplies; notify management when stock is low. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and hotel procedures. Support other departments with setup, relocation, or emergency assistance when required. Document all work performed using maintenance logs or hotel systems. Proven experience as a handyman, or in a similar role. Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting and general building skills. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, some nights and public holidays. Physical ability to climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods.
