This post is part of a new initiative within substance misuse and is funded by OHID. The post holder will work closely within primary care settings, offering assessments and referrals to services tailored to clients' needs. They will also provide brief interventions within primary care and train GPs and other professionals on alcohol consumption, safe drinking levels, and referral pathways into Recovery Near You.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will facilitate service users' entry into and progression through integrated recovery-based services, helping them achieve their goals and maintain progress. Responsibilities include case management for a designated caseload, conducting comprehensive assessments, and delivering recovery-focused interventions to support service user recovery and experience. The role involves engaging service users in health promotion and providing low-intensity psychosocial interventions as needed.
