Job Overview

Are you looking for a HR role where you can shape the culture to success? Are you a leader who can deliver a high‑impact, compliant HR service while partnering with operational teams and Trade Unions to drive engagement and performance? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced environment where you can lead teams, manage complex employee relations, and drive people‑focused change across multiple sites? If so, join us as HR Manager covering multiple sites.

As our HR Manager, you will cover two contracts within GXO – the East Midlands Gateway contract and the Nestle Purina contract at Hams Hall, Coleshill. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll provide our site leadership teams with support and guidance on all HR‑related topics. You’ll lead a team of eight direct colleagues and will work closely with the site leadership team, ensuring consistent people support and engagement across diverse contracts. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity with core working hours Monday to Friday 09:00‑17:00 (flexibility required for business needs) and will require regular travel across the sites.

Responsibilities

* Lead delivery of a high‑quality, end‑to‑end HR service across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and legislation
* Partner with operational leaders and Trade Unions, building strong relationships and driving engagement, wellbeing and performance
* Manage and develop a multidisciplinary HR team
* Provide expert guidance on employee relations, including complex cases, absence management, disciplinary processes and change initiatives (e.g. restructures, TUPE)
* Drive people strategy and continuous improvement, including recruitment, talent development, engagement surveys, HR reporting/KPIs and process enhancements


Requirements

* CIPD Level 5+ (or equivalent) with up‑to‑date employment law expertise, including handling complex ER cases and providing strategic HR guidance
* Proven HR leader with multi‑site experience, confident using people data and KPIs (e.g. attrition, absence) to drive performance and decision‑making
* Strong relationship builder with a passion for employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion, delivering impactful people initiatives
