Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our local government client, to recruit a HR Officer for up to a 12 week duration
This is an exciting opportunity to provide a provide a professional, efficient and customer‑focused HR service across the organisation. The successful candidate will provide that first line support on the full range of HR and people management queries.
Key Responsibilities for the HR Officer role:
* Provide consistent first line advice
* Offering guidance on HR policies and current legislation
* Applying HR policies effectively (inc conduct, grievance, sickness and performance issues)
* Supporting the full employee life cycle end to end
* Attending meetings
* Ensuring cases of a high level or complex nature are escalated to the relevant superiors/management level
* Problem solving
* Supporting senior management on activities such as recruitment, including pre-employment checks, job descriptions, contracts, letters etc
* Report writing and data maintenance
* Adhering to GDPR and data protection legislation
Candidate Requirements for the HR Officer role:
* CIPD Level 3 in Human Resource Practice (or equivalent HR qualification).
* Ability to manage a busy and varied workload
* Communicate cleasrly, with concise information
* Good knowledge of HR policies including GDPR, Data protection and current emplpyment law,
