Salary: WPT Band 5 £28,163 - £30,060 (£24,805 - £26,475 pro rata)
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 inset days
Contract: Permanent
Location: Rawmarsh Community School

As a Learning Mentor, you will support targeted pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and fostering a positive educational journey. Your dedication will make a significant difference in their lives, unlocking their academic and personal potential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work closely with targeted pupils, providing support to address individual or small group needs and helping them overcome obstacles to learning.
2. Observe pupil progress, identify needs, and develop personalized learning plans tailored to each student.
3. Mentor pupils on a one-to-one basis, including those excluded from the classroom, guiding them through learning plans and providing ongoing support.
4. Build strong relationships with families or guardians, collaborating to address issues like poor performance, attendance, and behavior, including conducting home visits if necessary.
5. Review and assess learning plans regularly, track progress, and provide insights to facilitate students' reintegration into the classroom.
6. Develop activities to support pupils, including accessing external resources to ensure they have the tools to succeed.
7. Collaborate with external organizations to leverage support services and resources.
8. Maintain accurate pupil records and report on achievement and progress.
