Site Manager Edinburgh
Salary: From £50,000 per annum

Working Hours: Site hours; typically Monday to Friday, 07:30-17:00
About the Role
Axfar Recruitment are hiring on behalf of one of our Civil Engineering clients in Edinburgh. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to take ownership of civil engineering projects in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations on site, ensuring compliance with health & safety and company standards.
* Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and plant.
* Monitor progress against programme and provide regular updates.
* Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
* Maintain strong communication between site, head office, and clients.
* Lead, mentor, and develop site teams.
* Support commercial and contractual obligations, including variations and documentation.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering or construction projects.
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
* First Aid at Work.
* Temporary Works Coordinator / Supervisor (preferred).
* Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage RAMS, programmes, and reporting.
* High standard of health & safety awareness.
* IT literate (Microsoft Office & site software).
* Valid UK driving licence.
