HR Manager – Manchester – £40,000
We are looking for a confident and experienced HR Manager to join our team in Manchester. This is a great opportunity for a people-focused HR professional to take ownership of the HR function and play a key role in shaping the employee experience.
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Location: Manchester (hybrid working available)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance
* Provide guidance and support to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice
* Lead on employee engagement initiatives and support a positive workplace culture
* Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures with professionalism and fairness
* Maintain accurate HR records and ensure legal compliance across all HR activity
* Support learning and development plans and coordinate training initiatives
* Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and policies
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards it); Level 7 desirable
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Advisor or Manager level
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
* Confident managing sensitive situations with discretion and integrity
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience using HRIS systems
* Leadership with HR. Managing a team of HR Administrators and HR Advisors.
