NSC Creative requires an Interactive Exhibition Developer to join our team working on an exciting new exhibition launching at the National Space Centre. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about crafting immersive, educational, and engaging experiences that bring space to life. Working closely with our in-house exhibition, content, and technical teams as well as external partners, you’ll be responsible for delivering interactive elements that elevate the visitor experience, ranging from touchscreens and physical interfaces to projection-mapped environments and sensor-driven installations. Its mission is to inspire diverse, cross-generational audiences via immersive storytelling. https://nsccreative.com/ Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the exhibition team to design and develop interactive experiences that align with the exhibition’s creative vision and educational goals. Develop a new CMS to support a number of touchscreen interactives, including multi-screen systems. Be involved in the wireframing, design and development and user testing of multiple interactives. Develop and deploy interactive applications using tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine or similar. Integrate hardware elements (e.g. sensors, screens, microcontrollers, lighting) to create responsive, physical-digital experiences. Prototype ideas rapidly and iterate based on feedback from user testing and internal review. Ensure that all interactives are robust, maintainable, and accessible to a wide range of visitors. Work with the AV/Tech team to install and test exhibition components onsite. Provide documentation and training to enable ongoing maintenance post-launch. Essential Skills & Experience: Demonstrated experience developing interactive installations or digital experiences for museums, galleries, or public spaces. Proficiency in at least one interactive development environment (e.g. Unity, Unreal others considered). Working knowledge of hardware integration (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi, motion sensors, cameras, DMX lighting). Strong understanding of UX principles, especially in public/family-focused environments. Proficiency in version control systems (Git). Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset. Able to take direction from Supervisors. Able to communicate effectively in English. Good time management and ability to complete scheduled tasks on time. Good internet connection and join team standups and reviews as required.
