Site Manager
Construction is changing and we are at the forefront of that change, we are looking for a Site Manager to join us on the journey. Pioneering new ways to build, innovating the way construction is viewed and establishing ourselves as one of the top employers in any industry. We are expanding our delivery team and recruiting a Site Manager due to growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects in the North West.
Our aim is for you to be a part of our team to deliver projects close to home across multiple sectors mainly in leisure, education, blue light, residential, transport and healthcare. As a Site Manager at Willmott Dixon, you will be part of our one team ethos that delivers quality projects on time whilst also having a positive impact on the local community.
As a Site Manager at Willmott Dixon the key responsibilities will include:
Key responsibilities include:
1. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the successful Site Manager will manage the delivery of projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
2. Establish standards of quality on-site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements.
3. Adopt the principles of the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme and manage community relations. Ensure appropriate site image is maintained to encourage repeat business.
4. Undertake the works in the most economic manner to eliminate waste and avoid non-recoverable costs and preliminary losses. Monitor and work to the agreed preliminary budget.
5. Produce and develop project programmes and control operations to achieve delivery of the project on time. Organise the works and supply chain to provide the right working environment to avoid disruption between trades.
6. Understand the client priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations.
7. Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
8. Manage project handover and ensure defect/snag free completion.
9. Support the strategy for the closure of defects during defects period and obtain a certificate of Making Good Defects within targets set.

10. Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects as part of a wider team
11. The ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications
12. Understanding and appropriately sharing build programmes
13. Managing the supply chain, direct employees and consultants
14. Proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain
15. Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc) or equivalent
16. Appropriate CSCS card
17. SMSTS certificate
18. First Aid at Work certificate.
