Site Manager – St John Fisher Catholic Primary School, Loughton

Position Type: Caretaker/Site Manager. Pay Range: Scale 5.
Contract Type: Full‑time (Annual Leave 25 days + 8 Bank Holidays). Contract Term: Permanent. Hours: 37 hours per week. Provisional time: Monday to Thursday 7:00–9:15 am and 1:30–6:15 pm; Friday 7:00–11:15 am and 1:30–6:15 pm.
Start Date: Immediate.
Required: ASAP. Application Close: 15/05/2026. Interviews: Wednesday 20th May.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the school premises and grounds in an excellent condition, both externally and internally.
* Maintain high expectations for the school's maintenance and upkeep.
* Operate a safe and secure site and comply with H&S legislation (training provided).
* Adjust to the needs of the role, showing flexibility and initiative, including adapting hours when required.
* Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
* Be contactable during unsociable hours to receive emergency call‑outs.
Duties
* Health & Safety and security of the site, including locking and unlocking the school during term time and some holiday weeks.
* Managing external contractors, servicing works, and small projects.
* Monitoring site stock and ordering supplies.
* Communicating effectively with children, staff, visitors and external agencies.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Current full clean driving licence; prepared to drive the Trust minibus (training provided).
* Good IT skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to adjust to role needs and show flexibility.
