Job summary The purpose of the Power Platform Developer role within the Finance Transformation & Innovation team at CDW is to deliver transformation and automation solutions using the Power Platform and Copilot Studio. The role involves gathering, cleaning, and visualizing data, automating routine tasks, and improving processes. The developer will also manage projects related to finance transformation, apply Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Power Apps to solve finance-related problems, and engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs. The ultimate goal is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations through innovative technology solutions What you will do Project Completion: The primary measure of success will be the timely and efficient completion of assigned projects. This includes meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and achieving the project objectives. Innovation and Improvement: Continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department. Data Visualization and Reporting: Creating insightful and visually appealing dashboards and reports that provide valuable insights to the finance team and other stakeholders. Professional Development: Demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, including staying up to date with the latest Power Platform and Copilot Studio features and best practices. Visualisation of Complex Datasets: Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards using Power BI to summarise key findings and insights from complex datasets. Automation and Regular Month-End Tasks: Utilise Power Automate and other tools to automate routine month-end tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Create Copilot Agents: Utilise Copilot Studio to create semi and fully autonomous agents to assist with Finance processes and common pain points. Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automation solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline workflows. Project Management: Manage projects related to finance transformation and innovation, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with stakeholders. Practical Application of RPA & Apps for Finance-Based Problems: Apply Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Power Apps to solve finance-related problems, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations. What we expect of you In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of the Power Platform (BI, Apps, Automate), Copilot Studio and SQL (desirable not essential) to be able to connect to data, code, produce, and link reports with other Power Platform tools. Data-driven degree or equivalent is desirable, or demonstrable experience in analysing complex data sets. PL-400: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification or working towards these accreditations. Possess an analytical mind, passionate about data, and solution-focused with an ability to solve complex data problems using multiple sources and methodologies. Methodical, quality-driven, with a high attention to detail. An effective communicator, both verbal and written, with all levels of stakeholders. Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, acting as a resource to support data. A proactive, sound, and impartial decision-maker, able to highlight improvement opportunities and work collaboratively to deliver them.
