Overview
The Hub School is looking for an experienced Learning Mentor to join our small and friendly team, providing specialist support for vulnerable young people. The successful applicant will work with minimal supervision, supporting students who are placed on alternative learning and vocational programmes at local colleges and training providers within the East Riding of Yorkshire region.
Hours and salary
Working hours are 08:30–16:30, Monday to Thursday, and 08:30–16:00 on a Friday during the school term. You will be paid for an additional 37 hours per year to attend team meetings and development activities outside normal working hours. The starting salary is £22,316 per annum, paid in 12 equal instalments.

What we are looking for
We are seeking an individual who has:
* A good standard of education including numeracy and literacy at GCSE grade C/5 (or equivalent)
* Experience of working with secondary-age students
* The ability to relate effectively to students, their parents/carers and professionals working with them
* The ability to visit young people on placements that may be spread throughout the county
Due to the role requiring travel to various provisions to support students’ learning, the use of a car is essential.
