Handyman – Civils Contractor (Contract)
Location: Guildford
Start Date: Thursday 5th February 2026
Duration: Short-term contract – approx. 1–2 weeks (potential to extend)
Employer: Working on behalf of a civils contractor
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Handyman to support a civils project in Guildford. This is a short-term contract position starting this Thursday, with the potential to last a couple of weeks depending on progress.
The role will involve a mix of concrete, tiling and painting works, requiring a good all-round skill set and a practical, hands-on approach.
Duties & Responsibilities

Cutting out and removing existing tiles
*
Carrying out concrete repairs, including filling and making good
*
Applying two coats of emulsion paint to repaired areas
*
General handyman duties as required on site
*
Working safely and efficiently in line with site requirements
Requirements
*
Blue EUSR card (essential)
*
Face fit – desirable
*
Proven experience with concrete and tile repairs
*
Painting experience (emulsion)
*
Ability to work independently and follow site instructions
*
Own tools and PPE preferred
