Werelooking for someone with specialist knowledge in the management of buildingservices including the maintenance and repair of all building fabric andutilities who wants to make a genuine difference to our Estate.

Thisis a rewarding and trusted position where the successful candidate will providespecialist and professional building expertise, manage contracts, deliveroperational services and lead for the Trust's Building Team. You will beinvolved in future planning, be responsible for supporting and developingEstates strategies and the upkeep of the building infrastructure ensuringcompliance with all relevant health & safety requirements.

Youll play a vital part in ensuring we keepour hospitals in excellent shape, addressing issues and be a part of one of thelargest and busiest acute hospital trusts in the UK. You'll be at the forefrontof a motivated and dynamic team striving for excellence.

Asthe Trust lead for the Building team you will provide senior line management,share expert specialist information, be analytical in developing solutions,negotiate with external agencies, provide sound financial management and ensuresafe systems of workin line with HTM/HBNs, Building Safety &Fire Regulations etc.

Thejob package includes: -Salarypro rata Band 8B £64,455 to £74,896 to reflect 2025/2026 pay award

Annualleave - 27 days + bank holidays

Main duties of the job

Inthis role you will:

Provide Senior Estate Management that require specialist input relating toBuilding Regulations, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, Compliance,Construction Design Management and Patient Environment etc.

Prioritise and manage all resources, both outside contractors and in-houselabour, in routine and emergency situations.

Develop strategic estates operational plans to ensure that the service isdynamic to meet the clinical needs of the Trust

Be responsible for the upkeep of Building Fabrics, in compliance with allrelevant health & safety requirement and statutory regulations, in order toprevent danger to patients, staff and others from risks.

Provide senior line management, including the resolution of disciplinary andgrievance matters and the appropriate recording of such information necessaryfor the efficient operation of the Trust systems.

Deal with all Estate Emergencies and escalation of the Trust Estates EmergencyPlan whilst operating a On-Call system.

Provide expert, specialist information and advice to Consultant & DesignStaff regarding complex systems and services to enable the provision ofimprovements to the Building Fabric across the Trust.

Be responsible for a range of Building Safety policies to comply with relevantHealth & Safety Regulations and Estates Health & Safety Policies, RiskAssessments and guidance.

Financial management of budgets up to £1.5M.

Skills & Behaviours

Experience

* A minimum of 10 Years post qualification, relevant experience, in Estates Management at a higher level.
* Experience of: Working in an Acute Hospital Environment
* Health Technical Memorandums / Hospital Building Notes
* Good communication skills, able to manage change, adaptable to change
* Knowledge of the Health and Safety legislation appertaining to Estate Management
* Ensure that all tasks are carried out in compliance with relevant statutory legislation and local policies and codes of practice including Health and Safety, COSHH and in particular by following agree
* The jobholder must take responsibility in agreement with his/her line manager for his/her own personal development and undertake all mandatory training required for the role particularly attending ref
* The jobholder must co-operate with all policies and procedures designed to ensure equality of employment and that services are delivered in ways that meet the individual needs of patients and their fa
* To complete all relevant daily documentation in compliance with relevant statutory legislation and local codes of practice and quality control procedures.

Qualifications

* Relevant Degree [or equivalent qualification recognised by an appropriate registration authority
* Building registration or agreement to work towards a relevant registration
* Qualified Authorised Person for Confined Spaces
* Understanding of the statutory Permit to Work Systems.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in Healthcare Estates Management
* Membership of a Professional Institution e.g.: CIBSE, IHEEM, CIOB, RICS, RIBA,
